HOTEL BASICS 

What time is check in and check out?

Check-in: Begins at 3:00 PM on your check-in date. 

Check-out: By 11:00 AM on your check-out date.


Can I request for an early check-in or late check-out?

If you need to request for an early check-in or late check-out, simply reply to your pre-arrival SMS that we sent you or ask one of our team members in the lobby. Please note that this is subject to availability.

What are the front desk hours of operation, and how do I check-in if I am arriving after hours?

Guests are welcome to use self check in any time during the check in window, however if assistance is needed, we are available from 7am-10pm via text or phone using the below number.

Our sister business, CKS River Supply, is located right downstairs and their friendly staff can help with tips or area suggestions as well.


Where should I leave my room key(s) when I check-out? 

You don’t need room keys at the Shorehouse Hotel! All rooms are accessible through a keypad on the room door.

Can I store my luggage before check-in or after check-out? 

Yes — Luggage can be stored during front desk hours.

Where can I store my gear?

We do not allow skis, bikes or any large gear items in the suites. If you need a place to store your gear we can provide safe, locked storage for gear and a convenient offsite parking area for trailers. 

Is breakfast included in my room rate?

No, breakfast is not included.


Can a cot or crib be supplied in my room if I am traveling with an infant?

Pack n Plays are available upon request at no extra charge. 

Twin size cots are available up to two per room for an additional fee. 

Is the hotel wheelchair accessible?

Yes, all of our second floor units are wheelchair accessible (Layover Day, Daisy Chain, and Magpie)

Our third floor penthouse is not accessible by wheelchair. (Throne Room)

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes, each suite is equipped with a private network offering high speed internet.


I lost or forgot something. Do you have a lost and found?

We attempt to locate any items that have been left behind and contact guests immediately. We are not responsible for lost or misplaced items during your stay. 

GETTING HERE

Where is the hotel located?

426 E. Main Buena Vista, Co 81211. The Hotel entrance is around the back of the building on the alley side. 

Is parking available onsite?

Limited onsite parking is available in a shared lot behind the building. Parking on the N side of this lot is available 7-days a week. Parking on the S side of this lot is available from 5pm-8am weekdays and Saturday and Sunday. If onsite parking is not available, ample street parking is available nearby.

What transportation or taxi services are available in the area?

Buena Vista does not have a taxi or rideshare service.

ONSITE FACILITIES & SERVICES

Is room service offered?

Room service is not available, however a full spectrum of a-la-carte services are available through favorgifting.com.


Is there an onsite swimming pool, hot tub, or gym?

No, but a cold plunge in the Arkansas River is a 10-minute walk from the hotel as well as an extensive trail system for recreation and a whitewater park with surf waves and access to Class III Rapids. 

Do you offer onsite laundry or dry-cleaning services?

Each room is equipped with a full washer and dryer for guests to use during their stay.

FOOD & BEVERAGE

Do I need bottled water? 

Buena Vista has such good water Arrowhead Water takes it from our aquifers and fills bottles with it! Bring a refillable bottle for your stay and drink out of the taps. 

Is there a bar or restaurant on property? 

Yes, our neighbor bar and restaurant, The Buena Viking, is just steps away and with a downtown Main Street location a plethora of restaurants and bars are within walking distance of the Shorehouse. 

Can I bring alcohol from the Buena Viking bar to my room? 

Yes! The liquor license for The Buena Viking extends into our building and can be brought anywhere in the Shorehouse or CKS retail space. 

Each unit is appointed with a full kitchen with cookware, dishes, and anything one would need in the kitchen. 

HOTEL POLICIES

What is the hotel's pet policy?

Unfortunately, pets are not welcome. 

Service animals must be under the handler’s control and supervision at all times. If a guest’s service animal causes damages to a guest room, the hotel is permitted to charge the same fee for damages as charged to other guests. Your pet can still come on your vacation — We can provide information for them to have their own luxury boarding facility nearby! 

Is smoking allowed in the rooms, or on the hotel premises?

Smoking of tobacco is not permitted anywhere and must take place more than 25-feet from any doorway. 

Colorado’s Clean Indoor Air Act prohibits smoking in all indoor common areas, in all or any part of the property, both indoors and outdoors. 


Do I need a credit card to check in, and does the hotel require a hold to guarantee incidental charges?

A valid credit card will be required to book a suite at the Shorehouse Hotel. The credit card used at booking is held for incidental charges and additional fees. 

What is the hotel's cancellation policy?

Cancellations within 14 days of placing the booking and 30 days prior to the reservation date will receive a full refund to the original form of payment. Cancellations within 15-60 days of booking and 14 days prior to arrival date will receive FULL REFUND in the form of Shorehouse credit. Cancellations after 60 days of booking and/or within 14 days of arrival date will not receive a refund. 

RESERVATIONS

My plans have changed, how can I modify or cancel my reservation? (For reservations booked directly on the hotel website)

To modify or cancel an existing reservation that was made directly on the hotel website:

1.  Visit our booking website, hover over "Account" in the top-right corner of the page, and click "Modify Booking”

2.  In the panel pop-up on the left-hand side, find your existing booking by entering your Booking Number found in your email confirmation (e.g. 9JNAMUD6), OR enter your last name and check-in date.

3.  Modify your booking as required by clicking "Edit Dates", "Edit Room", or "Cancel Booking".

4.  Follow the prompts as displayed to submit the change or confirm cancellation.

My plans have changed, how can I modify or cancel my reservation? (For reservations booked on an

Online Travel Agency website e.g. Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb, etc..)

To modify or cancel an existing reservation that was made on an Online Travel Agency website, please contact the Online Travel Agency directly.

What are the accepted payment methods?

We accept all  major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express.

Can you accommodate weddings / events / large group bookings? Who can I reach out to?
